Kathryn E. Johnson
Retired CEO

Kathryn E. Johnson served as the Chief Executive Officer of Health Forum for twenty-five years and retired in 2002. She is the Co Founder of the Center for Global Service and an active consultant on global health issues. She has served on numerous Boards, including chairing the Boards of the Institute for Research on Learning and the American Society of Association Executives. She is a former W. K. Kellogg Foundation Fellow.
Currently, she serves on the Boards of the International Leadership Association, Food Commons, IP3, the Carol Emmott Fellows for Women in Health and OmniMed. In addition, she is on the Advisory Boards of Safety Nest, Living Goods, We Care Solar, MedShare and UN Women of Northern California. She is a Global Advisor for HOW WOMEN LEAD and a mentor for the Carol Emmott Fellowship for Women.
In 2018 she received the UN WOMEN of Northern California’s “She’s Got My Back Award.” She is a member of UNA Marin and UN Women.
She recently co chaired the development of Collective Impact Partnership (CIP), focused on the economic empowerment of women and girls.
She previously served on Boards of the UN’s World Food Program-USA, Global Women’s Leadership Program at Santa Clara University’s Business School, the Samueli Institute, the Health Technology Center, and RENEW. She is a graduate of Indiana University and has a Master’s in Organizational Development from Boston University.
